The Dakshin Delhi Kalibari is at the foot of the hillock holding the Swami Malai Temple in Ramakrishna Puram, opposite Vasant Vihar and Olof Palme Marg.
The idea of setting up a Kalibari was conceived in 1967 at an informal meeting of some members of the Phalguni sangha Club of Sector 7, Ramakrishna Puram. The Club organized a Durga puja the same year on an open ground. The puja went off well, but there was little surplus fund and which to initiate the building of a Kalibari. The members were undaunted and the search for a site continued.

প্রতিষ্ঠালগ্ন থেকে দক্ষিণ দিল্লী কালীবাড়ি প্রবাসের মাটিতে বাংলা সংস্কৃতির দীপশিখা প্রজ্বলিত রাখার ঐকান্তিক ও আন্তরিক সাধনায় ব্রতী। ভাষা, সাহিত্য ও সঙ্গীতের অবিচ্ছিন্ন ধারাকে লালন ও সমৃদ্ধ করার অঙ্গীকারে আমাদের সংগঠন বরাবরই নানা মননশীল ও সৃজনধর্মী কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করে আসছে।
এই ধারাবাহিক সাংস্কৃতিক অভিযাত্রার পর্বে আগামী ২৮শে ফেব্রুয়ারি, শনিবার এবং ১লা মার্চ, রবিবার, বৈকাল ৫:০০টা থেকে কালীবাড়ি প্রাঙ্গণে অনুষ্ঠিত হতে চলেছে দুই দিনব্যাপী এক বিশেষ আয়োজন “প্রবাসে বাংলা গান” শীর্ষক আলোচনা সভা এবং তারই পরবর্তীতে বর্ণাঢ্য “বাংলা সঙ্গীত মেলা”।
দিল্লী এনসিআর-এর প্রবীণ ও নবীন সঙ্গীত শিল্পীদের সম্মিলিত অংশগ্রহণে প্রবাসে বাংলা গানের অতীত ঐতিহ্য, বর্তমান প্রয়াস এবং ভবিষ্যতের সম্ভাবনা নিয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে এক মনন সমৃদ্ধ আলোচনা। পাশাপাশি সুর, তাল ও অনুভূতির মেলবন্ধনে সাজানো সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশনা বাংলা গানের বহুমাত্রিক রূপকে শ্রোতৃমনে নতুন করে জাগ্রত করবে।
বিশিষ্ট বিদগ্ধজন, সাংস্কৃতিক ব্যক্তিত্ব ও সঙ্গীতপ্রেমী শ্রোতৃবৃন্দের সান্নিধ্যে এই দুই দিনের অনুষ্ঠান পরিণত হবে এক আনন্দ-যজ্ঞে, এক মিলনোৎসবে।
বাংলা সংস্কৃতির প্রতি নিবেদিত সকল শুভানুধ্যায়ী ও রসিকজনকে এই সাংস্কৃতিক মহাযজ্ঞে সাদর আমন্ত্রণ জানাই। আপনাদের উজ্জ্বল উপস্থিতি আমাদের প্রয়াসকে অর্থবহ ও সার্থক করে তুলবে এই বিশ্বাস ও প্রত্যাশা রইল।
